Chelsea Recreational Park, divided by a creek, is a diverse park built through cooperation between the City of Chelsea and Shelby County. The two sides are linked via a bridge on a lighted paved walking trail with benches.

Columbiana Sports Complex
Columbiana Sports Complex is a joint venture with shared financing between Shelby County and the City of Columbiana. Shelby County provided site engineering and contracted for site preparation and built or contracted all of the park's amenities. The park is maintained by the City of Columbiana.

Creekview Neighborhood Park
Creekview Neighborhood Park is a City of Pelham passive park located in Oak Mountain Estates Subdivision. The park features swings and a large grassy area where tranquil picnics or relaxation may occur. A tree lined Cahaba Valley Creek meanders along its eastern boundary.

The University of Montevallo wishes to develop a student retreat area on the campus lake. UM has proposed to build a lodge with classroom space which can be utilized by both UM teachers and students as well as students and teachers from secondary schools across the state.

Limestone Park in Alabaster is approximately 100 acres of locally rare habitats including one of the largest beaver marshes in the area, a Water Tupelo Swamp (rare in this part of the state), wet marsh, and open grasslands.

Located on Highway 119 in Montevallo, the park features a pavilion with restrooms, scenic views along Shoal Creek, open fields, walking and hiking trails with plans for more to be added in 2019, enjoy birdwatching, and picnicking.

Stephens Park features a lighted sports complex with five fields used for baseball and softball. The complex has batting cages and a concession stand building with restrooms. The park has a fishing lake and a nearly 3/4 mile long paved trail used for walking and biking.
